Sam McKenney serves as the Director of Player Development for the Wildcat Golf Junior & Adult Academies, bringing more than 20 years of coaching and teaching experience to players of all levels. His developmental approach has helped guide junior, amateur, and collegiate golfers to success at the highest levels of the game.
Under Sam’s leadership, WGA athletes currently compete—or have competed—at top Division I and Division III programs across the country, including Northwestern, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Boston College, Marquette, Dartmouth, Villanova, Virginia, and Kent State, among many others.

Sam also serves as an Assistant Coach for the Northwestern University women’s golf team, contributing to the program’s 2025 NCAA National Championship and 2017 National Runner-Up finish.
A PGA Teaching Professional, Sam has coached touring professionals, elite amateurs, and top high school players both nationally and internationally. He is certified as a Master Golf Fitness Instructor through Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) co-founder Greg Rose and is also a C.H.E.K. Certified Golf Biomechanic. His professional development includes working alongside renowned instructors such as Mike Bender, Robert Baker, Doc Holliday, and Robert Powers and Pat Goss.
In addition to coaching, Sam is an IPGA Tournament Champion.
